Since June 14, one of Europe’s largest events, the European Championship, has been taking place in Germany, and ABEL Mobile Communications plays a crucial role in ensuring comprehensive, interference-free, and high-capacity mobile networks in the stadiums as well as in the fan zones. Through our efforts and the installation of new mobile network systems in several stadiums and fan zones, millions of football fans are provided with fast 5G for the home European Championship.
Expansion of Mobile Networks in German Stadiums and Cities
Altready at the start of the European Championship in 2021, ABEL Mobile Communications had equipped the Allianz Arena in Munich with the latest mobile network technology. In the course of these works, new 5G antennas were installed, and the LTE coverage was simultaneously improved. Just in time for the start of the European Championship in 2024, stadiums in Hamburg and Stuttgart, and other stadiums, are now equipped with the latest mobile network technology and ready to provide 5G to the crowds. Besides the stadiums, numerous mobile network systems and locations around train stations, event halls, and fan zones have been modernized and expanded. Simple and Effective Coverage for Fan Events
Furthermore, the so-called "Mobile Radio Trailers" (MRTs) play a central role in mobile network coverage. These mobile radio mast systems, up to 30 meters high, provide a quickly deployable and temporary supply with additional 4G and 5G capacities to optimally meet high data demands at specific locations, even at short notice. For example, ABEL Mobilfunk is installing additional MRTs for supporter-parties in Frankfurt am Main, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich for the network operators. "The agile and temporary mobile network solutions are the icing on the cake of our diverse activities in the world of mobile communication.
